One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest is a play that premiered in 1963, one year after Ken Kesey’s bestselling novel of the same name was published. Dale Wasserman’s stage adaptation, with music by Teiji Ito, made its Broadway premiere, running through 1964. Since then, the play has had two revivals: first off-Broadway in 1971, then as a Broadway production in 2001 with Gary Sinise as McMurphy. A film version released in 1975 was based on the novel, but not on the play.

About the Directors

Robin L. Overbey – Director & Randle P. McMurphy
Robin has been interested in becoming involved with GCTC for some time and is excited about the opportunity to play this part with this group. He is actively involved with Old Town Players in Vincennes where he currently serves as president. He has also performed at Evansville’s Civic Theatre as well as others around the country. He has 3 grown children and resides in Vincennes where he is in sales at R&H Truck & Trailer.

Logan Scott – Assistant Director
Logan lives in Bruceville, IN. She graduated from Vincennes Lincoln in 2008 and plans to attend Vincennes University in the fall. Logan has been in many productions in the past. In high school she enjoyed acting in musicals such as The King and I, Leader of the Pack and Fiddler on the Roof. She has helped assistant direct with the OTP in Vincennes.
