Sound of Music Cast Meeting Information

The following information was discussed at the cast meeting on Monday June 7th.

Schedule for the Week of June 7th-13th

  • Monday, June 7th – PCHS Auditorium
    • Company Meeting, Measurements, Verify contact information
  • Tuesday, June 8th – PCHS Choir Room
    • 6:30-7:30  Von Trapp Children – Music ♫
    • 7:30-8:30  Nuns – Music ♫
  • Thursday, June 10th – PCHS Choir Room
    • 6:30-7:30  Von Trapp Children – Music ♫
    • 7:30-8:30  Nuns – Music ♫
  • Sunday, June 13th – PCHS Stacy’s Classroom
    • 2:00-4:00  All actors with speaking parts – Read-thru &
  • A production schedule will be established this week and emailed to everyone.

Cast Responsibilities

  • Read, understand, sign & follow the Company Guidelines
  • Check www.gibsoncountytheatre.org and your email regularly.
  • Must be off-book by June 28th
    • Rehearsal time is not for learning lines.  Work on your lines & songs at home.  Feel free to organize study groups on your own.

Volunteers

  • We are looking for those interested in assisting with sets, costumes, lights, sounds, backstage, and in the crow’s nest.  Please contact Stacy ASAP if you are interested.
  • There will be a meeting for those interested in volunteering on Sunday, June 13th at 4:30 in Stacy’s Classroom at PCHS.

Cast Bios & Headshots

  • Headshots will be taken during rehearsal over the next couple of weeks for the program.

    • Please email your 45-50 word bio to Stacy by Monday, June 14th.
    • There are sample bios on the back of this newsletter.

T-Shirts

  • We will be ordering cast t-shirts.  This is completely optional.  Shirts are $7.00.  The deadline to sign up for shirts is Monday, June 14th.

Sample Bios

Fred Hadley ~ Fred is a member of the Board of Directors for GCTC and is the Marketing Director. This is his second time on stage, though he has helped with set construction numerous times.  He previously played Martini in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest.  He has also co-produced three other plays for GCTC.
Krista Hadley ~ This is Krista’s first time on stage.  She is an emergency replacement for a cast member that resigned three days ago for a family emergency.  She normally serves behind the scenes in such capacities as producer, stage manager, and costumer.
Stacy Hurt ~ Stacy is a founding member and Artistic Director of the Gibson County Theatre Company.  She is also the Executive Director of Gibson County Summer Musical.  She teaches at PCHS and lives in Princeton with her husband Wes and their children Clarke, Claire, Cole, and Cade.  Merry Christmas! xoxox
