Rusty joined the Board of Directors in the summer of 2010 after working with the GCTC gang on The Sound of Music. When his daughter was cast as Gretl Von Trapp, Rusty volunteered to help as a set-builder. Little did he know what lie ahead… He ended up being asked to fill the void left by a cast-member who was injured during a fall, and the rest was history! After being part of a team that moved mountains for The Sound of Music (LITERALLY!), he decided he wanted to continue to be involved long-term with the GCTC. He auditioned and was cast as a lead character in The One That Got Away in the fall of 2010.
Rusty is a 2000 graduate of the University of Southern Indiana, where he received his degree in Elementary Education. He is currently employed at Bristol Myers-Squibb as the Production Training Coordinator. He, his wife Bethany, and two daughters reside in Haubstadt. His daughters both enjoy the stage and he foresees being a part of the GCTC for a long time!
Rusty currently serves as the GCTC Treasurer.
